Hello, I’m Mike. I’m a counsellor working in the Fraser Valley (Chilliwack). I’m passionate about helping people. I work with individuals, couples, and families, whether it is a relational difficulty, personal goal, or a mental health issue. I seek to create a safe place and to journey with my clients, giving them an opportunity to process and understand their thoughts and feelings, learn new skills, and work towards finding new hope again.
Christian Perspective on Counselling
Most Christians seeking counselling want to know that their counsellor shares their perspective on the importance and value of their faith. They want to be assured that their counsellor believes in biblical truths and principles. Concurrently, they seek a counsellor who can help them navigate through the troubled waters that they find themselves in, in a professional way. I am just that sort of counsellor.
Christian perspective and worldview is the base of my work . However, you may decide to include or exclude faith into our discussions. Individuals of any faith or of no faith are always welcomed openly at New Hope Counselling.
